Solar Atta Chakki

A solar atta chakki is a flour mill that runs on electricity generated by the Sun. The six basic components of a flour mill powered by solar energy are:
1) Flour Mill.
2) Motor.
3) Solar panel.
4) Solar drive or VFD drive.
5) Solar panel stand.
6) Wiring.

The Flour Mill

The flour mill is the core component of the plant. For efficient daily production, it is recommended to install a mill with a minimum diameter of 20 inches. Such a setup can yield approximately 10 to 15 quintals of flour per day, depending on operational efficiency and raw material quality. With this capacity, the flour mill can generate a daily profit ranging between ₹2,000 and ₹2,500. This makes it a viable small-scale business option, offering consistent returns with relatively low operational costs.

The Motor

The motor is the second key component of a solar-powered flour mill. To operate a 20- to 24-inch mill efficiently, a 10-horsepower motor is recommended. It's essential to choose a high-quality motor from a trusted brand, such as ours, to ensure consistent performance and long-term reliability. When paired with a solar panel system, motors designed to handle minimal jerk loads offer superior efficiency and smoother operation. Selecting the right motor enhances overall system performance and reduces wear and tear, making your solar-powered flour mill both cost-effective and sustainable.

The Solar Drive or VFD Drive

The fourth essential component is the Solar VFD Drive, also known as the solar drive. Its primary function is to convert the DC power generated by solar panels into AC power required to run the motor. When selecting a solar drive, it's crucial to choose a high-quality unit—such as those we offer—to ensure smooth and efficient operation. Additionally, the solar drive should have a higher capacity than the motor’s rated horsepower. For example, if your flour mill uses a 10 HP motor, it is advisable to install a 15 HP solar drive. This extra capacity helps manage power fluctuations and prevents the motor from shutting down during load surges or turbulence. Using the correct solar VFD drive not only protects your equipment but also ensures the reliable and efficient performance of your solar-powered flour mill.
